April's Piano Studio

I teach personalized, private piano lessons out of our home in Lincoln, NE. My students play on a Steinway M in a unique and artistic setting.

I teach students of all ages and levels, and since everyone is different, I customize the repertoire to meet each individual's goals. I am classically trained but love jazz and find ways to incorporate that and all genres of music into lessons.

Teaching is very rewarding and I am constantly motivated by my students and their curiosity and love of music. I believe in the potential of each and every student. Please let me know how I can help you meet your musical goals.

Studio Policy

Part-time tuition: 30 minute weekly lessons - $80/month, or 45 minute weekly lessons - $120/month. Accounts will be paid monthly, due in full at the beginning of each month.

Full-time tuition (weekly one-hour lessons): $160/month. Accounts will be paid monthly, due in full at the beginning of each month.

*Tuition is based on 47 weeks of lessons annually: a fall semester, spring semester and summer semester. Holidays are factored in, as no lessons will take place on July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the week of Christmas, New Year's, Memorial Day, and spring break. This fee also takes into consideration that some months have 5 weeks of lessons. There is no contract, and lessons may begin or end at any time.

Cancellation Policy

As per college semesters, classes that are missed are not repeated. Makeup lessons are not guaranteed, and limited to 1 per semester. Students who are unable to attend their weekly lesson must contact me 24 hours in advance by phone, email, or text message. The lesson will be rescheduled if possible. If less than 24 hour notification is given, the lesson will not be rescheduled and is forfeited for that week. If I need to cancel a lesson I will reschedule if possible or make up the lesson at a later date.

Books

Books and other supplies are not included in the lesson rate. Costs are generally minimal, and since I get books at a discount, I purchase all the necessary books and pass the savings along to you. When a student receives a new book, charges are due the following lesson. Guild fees are due immediately (when applicable), or I cannot send in the entry form.

Preparation

To play the piano well takes dedication and discipline, and students will be expected to come prepared for every lesson. It is expected that daily practice consist of a minimum 10-20 minutes for beginning students, 30-45 minutes for intermediate, and 60-90 minutes for advanced.
